The Majuli-Jorhat ferry service has been suspended from Tuesday by the Inland Water Transport department due to the rising water level in the Brahmaputra.

The water level in the Brahmaputra is flowing at a danger level.

The Kamalabari, Aflamukh and Nimati ghat are reeling under water for which the ferry service has been suspended.

The officials of the inland water transport department said that the service will resume once the water level of the Brahmaputra will reduce.
