Majuli: Minor swept away by river

In a tragic incident, a minor boy fell into the Brahmaputra River on Tuesday in Majuli.

The ten-year-old boy identified as Papu Doley, son of Utpal Doley of Gejera village of Majuli was swept away by the river while taking a bath.

The incident took place around 5.30 in the evening. Police personnel and State Disaster Response Force have started a rescue operation.
