Man arrested with fake notes in Jogighopa

The Jogighopa police on Saturday detained one in connection with printing of fake currency notes and seized huge amount of Fake Indian Currency Note (FICN). Identified as Sonuwar Hussain, the detainee was involved in fake currency smuggling.

Acting on a tip off, a team of Assam police carried a search operation and detained Sonuwar from Jogighopa, who originally hails from Bilasipara under Dhubri district.

Meanwhile, there was a case registered against Sonuwar in Bilasipara police station
