Massive Fire Breaks Out at Silchar

Massive fire broke out at Fatak Bazaar in Silchar on Thursday night where 11 shops have been gutted in fire. Properties worth lakhs of rupees have been destroyed.

Locals who witnessed the fire at first said that the fire took place inone of the shops and spread in the nearby shops in foreign market in FatakBazaar.

Fire tender reached the spot immediately after being informed by localsand the fire has been brought under control nearly after two hours by five firebrigades.

However, the reason of the fire has not yet known but fire servicesuspect that it occurred due to short circuit.
