Massive fire breaks out in Guwahati

A massive fire has been reported from Guwahati's Lalganesh area in the wee hours of Sunday. Visuals from the spot showed thick smoke billowing out.

The incident took place at a house near the Battalion Gate and reportedly gutted properties worth several lakh. No casualties have been reported so far.

With the help of two fire vans and local residents, the fire has been ultimately doused. Although, the actual reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that short circuit resulted in the fire.
