Massive fire guts 20 shops in Tezpur

A massive fire completely  gutted twenty shops  and destroyed properties worth cores  at Tezpur in the wee hours of Friday.

Forty other shops were also damaged in the fire. Clothes worth crores were destroyed in the fire. Short-circuiting was stated to be the reason behind the incident. The incident occurred at a complex in Chowk Bazar. There has been no reports of causality so far.

Later the fire was doused with the help of eight  fire tenders and local residents.

Few days back a devastating fire broke out at a residence in Mankachar's Hatsingimari which led to almost 50 gas cylinder blast.
