Amid the outbreak of coronavirus infection, there has been a spike in the cases of Japanese Encephalitis Virus (JE). A minor boy succumbed to JE on Wednesday evening.
Eight-year-old Jitu Karmakar passed away at Tezpur Medical College and Hospital. The deceased belonged to Bagbisuti village in Tezpur.
