Mizo people feast on Assam Elephant’s meat

In anutter inhuman incident in Mizoram, the locals feasted on the meat of anelephant which was taken from Assam, the pictures of which went viral on socialmedia.

Accordingto reports, Mohammad Mastafa Ahmed Laskar of Cachar district has leased the47-year-old 'Lakshmi' to Kanhmun Forest Range of Mizoram. However, the elephantdied a few days ago and the villagers of the area chopped up its body andconsumed the meat.

Onthe other hand, the forest officials allegedly did not prevent the incidentfrom taking place.
