A mysterious loud bang was heard at Manipuri basti of the city, as per source. The noise, which was akin to the sound of an explosion was heard at this evening. The noise could be heard by locals.
Reportedly, the incident occurred while a child was playing with a toy car. The blast severely injured the right hand of the child and her face. The injured child identified as Dibanisi Singh (10).
Her mother Thokchom Bembem Devi (38) also sustained injuries, who are admitted in hospital. The child has been sent to Arya hospital immediately.
This was followed by Paltanbazar police reached the spot. A team of police has started investigation regarding it.
