Later in a Facebook post past midnight, BJP leader Ram Madhav announced that decision had arrived that NEDA would fight the poll together.

However later while coming out of the meeting, the NPP leader and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma announced before waiting media that they would contest in all 25 seats.

However, it was apparent that NPP leader Conrad Sangma was tasting the water and would like to expand his footprint in other states despite knowing that he and his party was not a serious player in the Lok Sabha poll.
