NRC: Barak BJP leaders meet Rajnath

On Sunday, a coordinators' team of Barak BJP leaders has met Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi.

The team was headed by former union minister of state Kabindra Purkayastha.

The coordinators' team discussed with Home minister Singh on the topics of D-voter, NRC, Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.

The team demands to pass the Citizenship (Amendment) bill in the upcoming assembly session. The team also talked on the anomalies of ongoing NRC process.

"If NRC officers will accept 10 documents instead of the 15 documents while preparing the Standard Operating procedure (SOP), the entire procedure would be spoiled." – said Purkayastha.

Barak BJP team urged Rajnath Singh to visit Barak valley.
