In anunfortunate incident, a person has allegedly taken his life by hanging self inBarpeta's Bantipur.
The deceasedhas been identified as Rahim Ali.
It has been alleged that increasing worries over the possibility of his children's names being cut of the NRC list, even after names of five of his children already been included in the additional list to the draft NRC, had led Ali to take his own life.
According to reports, Ali was busy assembling NRC documents till last evening following which he was found hanging.
