BJP MLA of Hojai constituency Shiladitya Dev has created a new controversy on Sunday. He stated that NRC will ruin Assamese community. According to Shiladitya, Assam Government has wasted Rs 1,200 crore for the updation of NRC.
He also said that the updation process of NRC is full of corruption. Suspected people have involved in bribing NRC officials. Development works in Assam have stopped due to NRC. Government Officials are busy in NRC to protect the identity of the indigenous people. But the process has gone boomerang.
Known for making controversial statements, Shiladitya also blamed NRC that valid citizens have been excluded from NRC.
