The Juria Police detained a man for allegedly spraying acid at a woman and a child. Acting on a tip-off, a team of Juria police carried out an operation to nab the culprit from Bolikotia area in Juria on Tuesday night.
The accused has been identified as Ajim Uddin. As per reports, Ajim attacked the woman and the child with acid in the Puthimari area. Both of them suffered serious burns following the incident. They are currently undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile,police have registered a case against Ajim under several sections of the IndianPenal Code.
