One held for extortion in Lakhra Chariali

A youth from Khermara in Goalpara has been detained in Lakhra Chariali by Garchuk Police on Tuesday.

According to police, he involved in fake extortion racket and collecting money in the name of banned outfit ULFA (I).

The fake ULFA (I) member has been identified as- Hanun Sangma.

According to police, he involved in fake extortion racket and collecting money in the name of banned outfit ULFA (I).

As per reports, Hanun Sangma demanded money from two businessmen of the city in the name of ULFA (I) leader Dristi Rajkhuwa.

Garchuk Police managed to detain the fake ULFA(I) member red handed while accepting extortion money.
