One killed in Manikpur Road Accident

In a tragic incident, one police person died in an accident at 31 No National Highway in Manikpur and another injured after a supari laden truck hit them. Both the police personnel were on duty during the time of the accident.

The deceased has been identified as Romejuddin Ahmed and the injuredjawan Krishta Ram Rai has been rushed to the hospital.

The deceased Ahmed belongs from Maulabipara in Kokila while the injured jawan Rai hails from Sorbhog.

The truck bearing number RJO GB 8069 was carrying the supari from Howlyin Barpeta to Karnataka.

Barpeta Additional SP Amarjyoti Choudhury rushed to the accident spotand has seized the truck which is at Manikpur police station.
