Goalpara police on Friday arrested one more person after a couple was physically assaulted in the name of 'Moral Policing' in a public place at Rangjuli's Pukhuripara.
Police arrested one named Jonab Ali and one other was taken into custody for questioning in the matter. Police have already arrested one named Kurban Ali as the prime accused.
The 'Moral Police' goons captured the couple when they were on their way on a bike. One of the video footage has revealed that the girl was mercilessly beaten up with a cane by an elderly man.
The incident actually took place June on 17, but came to light on Thursday (June 21) after the video surfaced on news channels and social media.
