People of Assam have won: Akhil Gogoi

The Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leader, Akhil Gogoi on Wednesday termed the development in the Rajya Sabha regarding Citizenship (Amendment) Bill as the victory for the people of Assam.

Gogoi, after the big development said, "We have won, people of Assam have won. It's a historic day for the people of Assam. This is a victory for the people; this is a victory for democracy."

He also thanked the members of all the organizations and political parties, which have opposed the Bill. He also lauded the roll of Assamese media regarding the Bill.
