Prafulla Mahanta boycotts Poll

Former Chief Minister of Assam, AGP leader Prafulla Kumar Mahanta along with his wife Jayshree Mahanta did not cast their vote on Thursday (Assam II phase polls) as a mark of protest against the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB).

Earlier, Mahanta opposed the Pre-poll alliance between the BJP and the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), adding that he would not campaign for any candidate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
