Prisoner mysteriously dies in Guwahati Jail

A convicted scamster, who was serving a jail term, has mysteriously died in Guwahati Central Jail on Friday. Rahul Amin was arrested in connection with Rs. 50 crore Power Tiller scam in the State.

Meanwhile,his wife claimed that he was murdered by the jail authorities. "I have met himyesterday. He was totally fine. The jailer and the medical staff have killedhim," said his wife on Friday.

However,the Guwahati Central Jail Authorities said that Amin underwent medicaltreatment after falling ill last night.
