The incessant rains over the past few days have caused Siang, Barapani river of Arunachal Pradesh to overflow, wreaking havoc in the state.

Thousands of people have been affected and normal life disrupted with the rains washing away portions of roads and triggering landslides.

NDRF team has come out to rescue the flood- landslide victims in different places of the state. 15 houses were damaged due to flood so far.

As per reports received one killed, while two are missing.

Ten passengers met with a terrible road accident in Papum Pare district of the hilly state as a massive landslide hits a Tata Sumo.

Along with people, animals have also been badly affected by the floods. Crops have been destroyed as well.

It is suspected that more than four people have been washed away. However So far 1 body have been recovered from Papu nallah in Naharlagun. State disaster response force have been engaged for rescue operation. SP Capital M Harsha Vardhan, DDMO Moroni Sonam, capital MLA Techi Kaso are on spot and supervising rescue operation. Local people are also cooperating in the rescue operations.
