Rajen Gohain files defamation suit against news channel

Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain today appeared before a court in connection with a defamation suit against a regional news channel. Gohain accused the channel with regard to his Lok Sabha ticket denial.

Minister Gohain filed the defamation case against the Managing director, Editor-In-Chief and a reporter of the channel.

With poll results away for more than a month from now, Gohain exude confidence of winning majority seats not only in the state, but also at national level to form the next government.
