Saina beats Sindhu to claim National title

Saina Nehwal defeated PV Sindhu to win the women's single title of 83rd Senior National Badminton Championships in Guwahati on Saturday. Saina won her fourth title by defeating Sindhu in 21-18, 21-15 sets.

Earlier, Sourabh Verma completed a hat-trick of titles at the Senior Badminton Nationals, claiming the men's singles crown after defeating young Lakshya Sen in 21-18, 21-13 sets.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Badminton Association on India president Himanta Biswa Sarma greeted Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu before the match started.
