Renowned mask craftsmen and Satradhikar (Head of the Satra) of Chamuguri Satra, Koshkanta Dev Goswami breathed his last at 2 am on Saturday due of senile.

He was 89 years old.

Koshkanta Dev Goswami, through his mask craftsmanship kept alive the age old tradition of Assam.

The death of the 2003 Sangeet Natak Akademi Awaree's death is not only considered a great loss for Majuli but the entire state.
