Sibsagar Police Arrest Wanted Drug Peddler

In a successful operation against drug peddling, Sibsagar Police on Wednesday arrested notorious and one of the most wanted drug peddlers of the area- Baljit Singh aka Ranjit- from Nazira near Assam-Nagaland border.

Several canisters containing brown sugar were also seized from Singh.

Singh, over the years, has been supplying drugs in Sibsagar and nearby areas.

The arrested drug peddler has confessed to the police that he used to buy drugs from Nagaland and sell the same at several places in Sibsagar district.
