Students should not be disturbed during campaigning: Election observer

Election observer of Sivasagar district Bharat Bhushan Dev Choudhury has appealed all the political parties and candidates of the ensuing Panchayat election to take utmost care so that studies of the students are not disturbed by their  campaigning, after receiving a complaint from Amguri on November 30.

Choudhury appealed to all the political parties and candidates to be extra cautious so that study hours of the students in the district, especially during evening hours, are not hampered.

The election observer also said that the political parties and the candidates should take note of this while using public address system and other electronic devices.

He also appealed to all the political parties and candidates to wind up their campaigning within the stipulated time.

The election observer further said that by adopting certain measures, the political parties and the candidates will not only express their concern and responsibility towards the society, but also facilitate and play a constructive role in building a stronger democracy.
