Addressing the media in Guwahati the APCC chief said, "There is nothing new in Modi's yesterday's speeches," adding, "We want a record from the PM on the total number of infiltrators that his government has spent back to their country during last five years."

"If the government really wants to identify the illegal immigrants living in the State, why it has introduced the CAB," Ripun Bora questioned. He also said that Modi government has failed to grant ST-status to six communities from Assam.

On the other hand, Tarun Gogoi said that Modi's promises have not completed in last five years. "Modi lured the voters by stating himself as a chaiwala, but has done nothing to the tea-tribe community," said Gogoi.
