Teacher recruitment process raises eyebrows

The education department in the state has issued an advertisement inviting intending and eligible candidates for the post of graduate teacher including language teacher or Hindi teacher or classical teacher in provincialized secondary schools of Assam in the pay scale of PB 2 Rs 14,000/- to Rs 49,000/- grade pay Rs 8,700/- and other allowances as admissible.

But, the recruitment process comes under question: WATCH WHY

The department seeks BA, B.sc and B.com with minimum 50% marks from any recognized university and B.Ed/B.T Degree from the institution recognized by the NCTE. Candidate must be TET qualified with minimum 55% in each paper for reserved posts and minimum 60% in each paper for UR posts.
