Two people have been arrested in connection with the sensational grenade lobbing incident that took place in Manja Bazar area under Karbi Anglong district. The arrested have been identified as Chem Hojai and Jemi Chakchuwak.
Accordingto reports, a team of Manja Police arrested both of them on Wednesday. They statedthat they have been closely working with two top DNLA leaders – Ronil Singdungand Eluind Jingdung.
It may be mentioned here that the incident took place on October 3, when the suspected DNLA militants lobbed the grenade in the market. Locals had said that the DNLA cadres were terrorizing the area by demanding money from the locals.
