Two more COVID-19 related deaths reported in GMCH

Two patients from Sarthebari in Barpeta district on Thursday succumbed to coronavirus disease in Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

The deceased have been identified as 67-year-old Dr. Safur Ali and 50 year-old Mirza Begum.

Ali was suffering from respiratory issues and was admitted to Rahman Hospital. He was declared positive for coronavirus and was transferred to GMCH. Ali was a retired professor of Madhya Kamrup College.

On the other hand, Mirza Begum was suffering from kidney ailments and was admitted to GMCH on July 31.
