ULFA-I cadre surrenders before Tinsukia Police

AUnited Liberation Front of Assam-Independent (ULFA-I) cadre surrendered beforethe Tinsukia Police on Saturday. According to reports, the ULFA-I cadre hasbeen identified as Girindra Phukan alias Rituraj Asom.

Sourcesinformed that Phukan had joined the outlawed faction ULFA-I in 2017 and was acrucial member of ULFA-I. He hails from Sukani village in Makum area.

Meanwhile, he has surrendered a China-made AK-81 rifle, along with 60 live bullets.
