Unidentified Body recovered in Balipara

Unidentified body of a man was recovered near Balipara area under Sonitpur district on Friday morning. The body was found lying near a pond in Khanamukh area. Police reached the spot to inspect after locals informed them about the body.

"We are investigating the case. The deceased was wearing green t-shirt. There was no paper or documents recovered from the possession of the deceased," said a police official.

The official further said whether it was a case of murder would be established only after the autopsy is done. However, locals suspected that someone might have thrashed him with a sharp weapon as the body had injury marks on head.
