Sensation prevailed at Silchar railway station on Wednesday after an unidentified body of a youth was recovered from a train toilet on Tuesday night.
Sources informed that the body was recovered from the NFGS07407 coach of the Dullavchora-Silchar passenger train by railway officials during a routine checking on Tuesday.
On Wednesday morning, the body was retrieved by RPF and sent for post mortem.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained and the body bears cut marks on its face.
The police are yet to come to a conclusion if it is a murder or suicide.
It may be mentioned here that coaches of a stationed train went up in a fire at Silchar railway station some days back.
