To mark the 6thInternational Yoga Day, Assam Chief Minister was present in his Dibrugarhresidence where he was seen practicing Yoga asanas.
CM Sonowal was seen practicing Yoga with Prasanta Phukan and Rituparna Baruah. The CM said, "Yoga has given the world India's ancient heritage of physical, mental & spiritual wellness. Let's do Yoga and build a healthier society".

Ahead of the yoga day,last week the CM through a video message asked the Assamese community topractice Yoga, "The aim of the Yoga Day will be to boost our immunity as wellas making it a part of our lives," and added, "Yoga Day is for the well-beingof all of us, it is for the sake of peace in the world".
Meanwhile, on the occasion, the Health Minister of the State Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted quoting Patanjali, "Undisturbed calmness of mind is attained by cultivating friendliness towards the happy, compassion for the unhappy, delight in the virtuous, and indifference toward the wicked. Let's celebrate peace, purge the ugly past, and crave for a new tomorrow".
