Yogi attacks Cong in Ghy over Rafale deal

Addressing the media persons at the Assam Administrative Staff College, Khanapara, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath lashed out at Congress and said , "The Congress Party might be the oldest political party in the country but they are spreading lies and misleading the citizen of the country". Congress have become a threat to the security of the country, added Yogi.
"The conspiracy designed by Rahul Gandhi & Co. has failed miserably. Post the Kargil war, several schemes were proposed for the modernization of the Indian Army. The Congress took no measures from 2004-2014. The Congress should apologise to the people of the country," said Yogi.
Talking about the accusations of misleading the Supreme Court over the Rafale deal, Yogi said, "The Supreme Court has given a clean chit to the Central government and Home Ministry over the Rafale deal. The Congress has disrespected the verdict of the Supreme Court," he added.
The Rafale deal controversy is related to the purchase of 36 multirole fighter aircraft for a price estimated to be worth Rs 58,000 crore by the Defence Ministry of India from France's Dassault Aviation.
Earlier on Saturday, BJP national media head Anil Baluni tweeted that the party, through press conferences at 70 places across the country, will expose the Congress for compromising national security and hatching a conspiracy against the government.
It may be mentioned that the Supreme Court rejected a series of petitions seeking probe into the Rafale deal, handing a major victory to BJP-led Central government.
The Congress party has been demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee to probe the matter opposing the judgment of the apex court.
The press conferences will be addressed by Union ministers including Ravi Shankar Prasad in Bhopal, Prakash Javadekar in Hyderabad, Suresh Prabhu in Bengaluru, Nirmala Sitharaman in Mumbai, J P Nadda in Thiruvananthapuram and Dharmendra Pradhan in Varanasi.
