A youth named Badrul Islam has gone missing in the Dimoru River of Hojai.
The accident occurred while he was crossing the river in order to go home. Although the locals searched for him, he has so far remained untraceable.
The Police have meanwhile reached the site and started investigation into the matter.
The people of the Borpukhuri area, in the absence of a bridge, have had to wade through the waters of the river in their daily errands.
