Manipur Breaches 500 Marks in COVID-19 Tally

Manipur breached 500 marks in the COVID-19 tally after 10 new positive cases have been detected on Tuesday night, as per the data of the COVID-19 common control room of the state government.
According to the common control room, out of the 10 people, 3 are male while 7 are female.

A statement issued by Dr. Khoirom Sasheekumar, Spokesperson ofthe health department said that the newly-infected patients are being shiftedto the COVID Care facilities adding that all necessary precautionary measureslike containment and contact tracing are in place.

The statement further stated that the total number of positivecases in the state has increased to 500 with 341 active cases.

However, the state's recovery rate is 31.8 percent.  

Informing that Covid19 is a novel disease and new facts are emerging almost weekly, it said all frontline workers need skills up-gradation through proper training and discipline.

Dr. Sasheekumar added that till date, the state Covid19 training team has trained 522 medical officers, 917 staff nurses, 349 allied healthcare providers, 902 auxiliary nurse midwives and 1,573 accredited social health activists.
