Two people reportedly electrocuted in separate incidents in Thane districts of Maharashtra caused by incessant rains. The incidents took place on Friday night.

The first incident occurred in Thane city while the other one took place in Ambarnath, according to District Disaster Management Cell (DDMC).

The officialsof DDMC said that Nagesh Nirange (46) died when a live wire fell on him after atree got uprooted and snapped the electricity lines in Rabodia area of Thane.

On the otherhand, a 22-year old Vishnu Solanki, who was a rickshaw driver was standing nearthe Shivaji Nagar auto stand outside the railway station at Ambarnath when atree fell on the power cables and the electricity lines along with the treecrashed onto a tin shed where the person was standing and died on spot aftergetting an electric shock.

The DDMCofficials, however, said that four other auto-rickshaws have been damaged inthe incident.

Both thebodies have been sent for post mortem and cases of accidental death wereregistered by the police.
