Minister of State for External Affairs VK Singh on Monday flagged off the first batch of three month-long Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2018 in New Delhi.

The Yatra, that shall continue till September 08, comprises of two routes: one through Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand and the other route is through Nathu La Pass in Sikkim.

Yatra through Lipulekh Pass will be conducted in 18 batches of 60 pilgrims each. The duration for each batch will be 24 days, including three days in Delhi for preparatory work.

Duration of the Yatra through Nathu La Pass will be of 21 days, including three days in Delhi. 10 batches of 50 pilgrims each are scheduled for this route.
