3 Jharkhand cops martyred in Naxal attack

At least three Jharkhandpolice personnel were martyred in a Naxal attack in Latehar district of theState on Friday. Maoists cadres attacked a police party was on-board anofficial four-wheeled vehicle in the Chandwa police station area at about 8:30PM.

According to reports, the Maoistshave sprung a surprise attack on the police personnel. "Three police personnel,including a Sub-Inspector rank official, have been killed while one has beeninjured," said top Jharkhand.

Some home guard personnel are also reported to be on the casualty list.
