Bajrang Dal Workers Search For Bobby Deol, Smear Ink On Prakash Jha’s Face

In a shocking turn of events, a group of Bajrang Dal members has attacked a web series set of Bollywood filmmaker Prakash Jha on Sunday afternoon in Bhopal, while they are searching for the series actor Bobby Deol.

The filmmaker popular for making socio-political Hindi films such as Gangaajal and Apaharan was mauled and his face was smeared with ink, several media reports mentioned.

The right-wing group claimed Prakash Jha's web series 'Ashram' starring Bobby Deol was an assault on Hinduism and Bajrang Dal will not allow its filming till the title was changed.

Notably, the filmmaker is yet to file a register and an NDTV report has reported that Jha has also agreed to change the title of the film.

The group attacked the film set of 'Ashram 3′ located at the Old Jail Premises located in Arera Hills. Visuals showed an angry mob destroying the set and shouting slogans such as "Prakash Jha Murdabad", "Bobby Deol Murdabad" and "Jai Shri Ram".

"They made Ashram 1, Ashram 2 and were shooting Ashram 3 here. Prakash Jha showed in Ashram that the guru was abusing women. Does he have the guts to make such a film on a church or madrasa? Who does he think he is?" Bajrang Dal leader Sushil Surhele was quoted as saying in the NDTV report.

"Bajrang Dal challenges him, we won't let him make this film. So far we have just blackened Prakash Jha's face. We are looking for Bobby Deol. He should learn something from his brother (Sunny Deol). He made such patriotic movies," he added.
