Ahead the Parliament session, which begins on June 17 and to go on till July 26, the Narendra Modi led government has called for an all-party meeting in New Delhi today.
As per sources, the government is set to seek opposition parties' support to ensure smooth functioning of both the Houses of Parliament.
On Saturday, the fifth meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog was held under the chairmanship of the PM at Rashtrapati Bhawan. It was attended by the Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, 27 Chief Ministers and the Lieutenant Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, apart from Union Ministers, who are ex-officio members and special invitees.
Some of the issues that had been discussed in yesterday's meeting were harnessing water resources, making India a 5 trillion dollar economy, doubling income of farmers and better health for every Indian.
