Oil marketing companies have announced a ₹58.50 reduction in the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders, effective July 1. Following the price cut, the new rate in Delhi now stands at ₹1,665 per cylinder.
This latest revision continues the downward trend in commercial LPG prices observed over recent months. In June, prices were slashed by ₹24, bringing the rate to ₹1,723.50. Earlier in April, the cost was set at ₹1,762.
The price had seen a modest dip of ₹7 in February, followed by a slight ₹6 hike in March.
A senior company official confirmed the development, stating, “The rate of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders has been reduced by ₹58.50, effective from today.”
The price drop is expected to bring much-needed respite to hotels, restaurants, and other commercial establishments that depend heavily on LPG for daily operations.
However, there is no change in the prices of 14.2 KG domestic cylinders. The price of the widely used 14.2-kg household LPG cylinder remains unchanged. Oil companies have confirmed that there is currently no revision in domestic LPG rates, despite repeated calls for a price review amid rising living costs.
