Customs seizes 15 Gold, 5 held

Gold biscuits weighing nearly 15 kilograms were seized on the bank of Torsa River in West Bengal on Sunday.

Acting on a tip-off, West Bengal police had managed to seize 15 nos of Gold biscuits.

SDPO Aniruddha Thakur, OC of Hasimara police station Kamalendu Narayan, SI of Jaygaon police station Satyendra Nath Rai, Army officer Paban Das, Army jawan Dasarath Singh have been arrested in connection with Gold smuggling.

The accused have been produced in Alipur court.

West Bengal police to take the accused in custody for 4 days.
