Delhi's air quality turned severe on Monday, day after Diwali celebration which saw revelers defying the Supreme Court enforced a two-hour limit for bursting firecrackers.

The Supreme Court banned polluting firecrackers in2018 as a result of Delhi's plummeting air-quality and ordered that only greenfirecrackers can be manufactured and sold.

According to the System of Air Quality and WeatherForecasting and Research, the overall air quality of the national capitalstands at 463 at 9 am.

An AQI between 0-50 is considered good, 51-100 issatisfactory, 101-200 moderate, 201-300 poor, 301-400 very poor and 401-500 ismarked as severe/hazardous.

The government air quality monitor has advised'sensitive groups' to avoid all physical activities outdoors.
