Virat Kohli became the most successful Test captain of India when his team beat the West Indies in the Jamaica Test on Monday.
It was Kohli's 28th Test win as India skipper, one more than his predecessor MS Dhoni. Kohli, who took over as India's Test captain in 2015 when Dhoni stepped down midway during the tour of Australia, has experienced high and lows during his tenure.
The high points of Kohli's Test captaincy Kohli has a stupendous run as a captain at home, beating all comers like Australia and South Africa but he has some fine victories overseas as well, often viewed as a benchmark of captains.
He started off with a series win against the West Indies and then made a clean sweep of the three-match series against Sri Lanka. It was the first series in the Islands for India in 22 years and the first whitewash in a three-match series against the neighbours.
But the real peak was India's historic series win over Australia in 2018-19, a first in the country's cricketing history.
