The Supreme Court onSunday will hear a plea of Congress, Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) against Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari's decision of invitingBJP's Devendra Fadnavis to form the government in the State.
The joint petition byCongress, SS and NCP requested the SC to order a floor test at the earliest.They also alleged that the oath-taking ceremony was illegal and sought quashingof Maharashtra Governor's decision to swear-in BJP's Devendra Fadnavis as ChiefMinister of the State.
"We have asked for anurgent floor test. The law demands a floor test. On Sunday at 11:30 am, theSupreme Court will hear the matter. We hope that democracy and law will win,"said Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala on Saturday.
Meanwhile, NCP said thatit has the support of 50 MLAs. Only 4 MLAs, including Ajit Pawar, are not withSharad Pawar.
