PM, Narendra took to twitter on Saturday to congratulate POTUS and the people of the USA on the country's 244th Independence Day. Alluding to the common democratic values being shared between India and the USA, he said that, "As the world's largest democracies, we cherish freedom and human enterprise that this day celebrates."
USA, on 4th July, 1776, achieved independence from Great Britain. It was on that day that the 13 original colonies in the USA ceased to be under the control of the British monarch, King George III.
