Just ahead of few hours before the final polling, Prime Minister Narendra Modi begins his two-day visit to Uttarakhand with a visit to Kedarnath shrine and later begun his prayer in a cave.

The Prime Minister arrived at the Jollygrant airport early in the morning after finishing his whirlwind campaigning on Friday.

 Dressed in a traditionalpahari outfit, PM Modi with utmost devotion seeks the blessings of the Almightyfor around half an hour and undertook circumambulation of the temple.  

The PM is expected to offer prayers at the Badrinath templetomorrow before returning to Delhi in the afternoon.

The Election Commission has given its permission while "reminding"the PMO that the MCC (Model Code of Conduct) which came into force on March 10with the declaration of the Lok Sabha polls, is still in force, as said by anofficial.

Fifty nine parliamentary constituencies, including Varanasi willgo to polls in the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections on May 19following the results to be announced on May 23.

The shrine which is located at 11,755 ft above the sea level, keptits security tightened keeping in view the PM's arrival.

The PM shares pictures of the majestic view of the mountains onhis way to Kedarnath. He also shared a video in Twitter of reviewing theongoing Kedarnath development project.
