Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held a meeting over video conferencing with districts where the Covid-19 vaccination coverage is low. The meet was with over 40 district magistrates where the coverage is less than 50 per cent for the first dose and even lower for the second dose.
The meeting was held with magistrates of districts from Jharkhand, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra and Meghalaya, among other states, the Prime Minister's Office informed.
PM Modi held the meeting immediately after returning from the G-20 and COP26 meets.
Assam CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, "Honoured to have attended a VC by Adarniya PM Sri @narendramodi on #COVID19 vaccination. Happy that Hon PM has given us guidelines to increase coverage. While Assam has done exceedingly well in vaccination, PM's margdarshan will motivate us to speed up our target of 100% coverage".
